Following the success of The Pool at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale, the project was commissioned as a reconfigured and extended version by the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne for their Design Studio at Federation Square.

The elements of the Venice exhibition were reconfigured for this new urban setting which opens directly to the street and Ian Potter Centre Atrium. Additional films commissioned as an extension of the original exhibition with members of the public again invited to engage with the water within the space.
