The new Riverside Theatres grows from the banks of the Parramatta River. Its sinuous façade and canopy echoing both movement in flowing water and the sedimentary tide lines left behind.

COX 3XN Turf Design Studio Bangawarra
Won through an international design competition, the collaborative design for this landmark centre creates civic thresholds for performance, embodying Parramatta City’s commitment to cultural inclusion and creative excellence. It will be a landmark centre for the performing arts and has the potential to significantly transform the cultural landscape of Parramatta. The redevelopment includes a 1,500-seat lyric theatre, a multi-mode playhouse theatre, and a rehearsal studio.
Flexible rehearsal space and studio.
Casuarinas, reeds and eucalypts continue to grow and stand strong along the river. Their continued presence and resilience should be fostered and celebrated to flourish into the future, along with the memory and learnings of the past.
