Directors Amelia Holliday and Isabelle Toland have both served on the NSW Government Architect's State Design Review Panel (SDRP), which provides independent advice on the design quality of state significant projects. Isabelle joined the original pilot panel in 2018 and was part of its first formal cohort. Amelia joined this year for a five-year appointment.
Isabelle has also served on the Infrastructure NSW Design Excellence Advisory Panel since 2020 and the Museums of History NSW (MHNSW) Heritage Advisory Committee since 2024. The committee brings together diverse external voices to advise on the management, programming and conservation of MHNSW's properties, from Hyde Park Barracks, Elizabeth Bay House and the Museum of Sydney to Elizabeth Farm, Rouse Hill Estate and Rose Seidler House.
Amelia has recently been elected NSW Chapter Councillor for the Australian Institute of Architects, which she joined as a first-year student. She is passionate about advocating for small, medium and emerging practices, and for issues including sustainability, decarbonisation, housing and procurement. She has also joined the City's Public Art Advisory Panel, advising on the commissioning of temporary and permanent public artworks, the conservation of the City's collection, and public art proposals in new developments.
This year, Isabelle was selected as Jury Chair for the AIA NSW Awards Sustainability category and invited back for a second term on the Australian Good Design Awards Built Environment Jury. The Awards celebrate excellence across design, architecture, engineering, research, fashion and social impact, and bring the wider design industry together to share perspectives.
These new and ongoing appointments reflect Isabelle and Amelia's dedication and commitment, as advocates, advisors and strategists, to improving the integration and delivery of design and cultural excellence across our built environment.
